Neo Pangea Internship Week3

Originally my internship was only supposed to last 2 weeks, but luckily I've been asked to keep coming in! That means more experience to put on my resume, and more awesome art to make and share!

Pokemon Challenge Day 4: Favorite Electric Type - Zapdos

Since Zapdos is a legendary pokemon I figured I'd have to do something great with this, not just your old boring drawing. I was originally going to draw a cute fluff ball baby zapdos, but as I was drawing the face I got inspiration to take it in another direction. So now it's more of a painting. I also gave Zapdos a more bird-like look. It's original design is bulky and clunky, and it honestly doesn't resemble much of a bird. It kind of just looks like a bunch of spikes.
At first I was kind of intimidated to draw Zapdos because of it's chaotic design and I almost went with my second favorite, Pachirisu, instead. So glad I didn't, I'm really proud how this came out.

Pokemon Challenge Day 3: Favorite Dragon Type - Deino and Axew

I couldn't decide which one I liked more, I love them both so much!
I didn't do anything special with this drawing like the last one, since I was drawing 2 pokemon I figured I'd skip making a background or going into super detail. I did at least put them in interesting poses. The style isn't anything special either, just my regular style.

Pokemon Challenge Day 2: Favorite Dark Type - Absol

As you can see, I've started to get a little more elaborate with these drawings. Not a very good way to catch up, but I prefer quality over quantity. Now not all of the daily pokemon drawings are going to be full fledged paintings or have props or backgrounds, sometimes you just want to draw a cute pokemon and nothing else. I'll also be switching up the styles once in a while to make it a real challenge. I went for a more chibi anime look with this one.

I love Absol because I think it's design is amazing! I love the asymmetry of the bade, not to mention I have one in my party and I love it to death! I also love Absol's color scheme, its simple but elegant and I think this drawing gave me better experience with using color, that's usually the place I fall short in.
Hope yall like it!

Pokemon Challenge Day 1: Favorite Bug Type - Syther

So I've been doing this art challenge where you draw certain pokemon each day. I thought this would be a great chance to better my drawing skills by making myself draw every day. Sadly I'm not ALWAYS able to get it done, right now I'm 10 days behind, but I'm trying my best to keep up and I definitely see some improvements!

Syther was pretty difficult to draw. It has a strange shaped head that is hard to get around, not to mention all it's armor-esque body parts. I made it a bit easier for myself by drawing a syther skeleton instead, plus the blades make it an excellent skull and crossbones motif.
